Vintage, Mid 20th Century, French, Henri Bruneau Still Life Painting – Oil on Canvas, 29″W x 35.5″H. 

Though Henri Bruneau is more well known for his comic illustrations, particularly “Zbib et Barnabé” published by the Moroccan francophone daily, La Vigie Marocaine, he was an equally talented painter. Preferring still lifes like this one housed in a new wood frame, Bruneau’s skill with traditional painting techniques are readily apparent. Minor wear consistent with age.
